Mr. Oso (Pseud) voluntarily visited the police station following a verbal invitation to him by the police. Strangely however and without being told what his offense was, Mr. Oso was locked up for fourteen days (14) at the station after which he was charged to court on allegations of conspiracy, armed robbery, and cultism.
At the Court, our quick response team intervened and provided Mr. Oso with adequate legal support, on the 22nd of May 2021, the DPP’s advice was sent to the court and it was determined that Mr. Oso was indeed innocent of all the offenses alleged against him. The court, therefore, discharged him and ordered that he should be released immediately.
Mr. Oso spent a total of 4 months and 11 days in detention before he regained his freedom.
