Gavel’s Lagos Team were present at the SERAP report Presentation tagged “Promoting Transparency and Accountability in Ministries, Departments and Agencies in Nigeria”.
The interactive session had Speakers who emphasized the need for accountability & transparency in a democratic institution while highlighting the importance of increased transparency to reduce corruption and gross mismanagement of government funds as well as the role of the Judiciary in holding individuals and groups to account.
Attendees included the Chairman of the Public Account Committee of the House of Representatives, the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Service Reform, A representative of the Head of the Civil Service Agency of the Federation and the Director of the MacArthur Foundation.
